It’s a bit of confusing task for NEET PG candidates to participate simultaneously for the All India Counselling & State Counselling process. For simplifying the process I am giving this answer

Now let’s understand the counseling process and plan out.
First, there will be 1st Round for All India Counselling ,Then round 1st of State counselling , after completing state round 1st ,then there will be 2nd round of All India Counselling ,After completing 2nd Round of All India Counselling, Government Colleges Seats which remain empty get reverted back to the respective states and then we have state round 2nd.

Please Note: All India mop up  (3rd Round) will be only for Deemed ,DNB & central Colleges/Institutions

You can fill preference twice or thrice in all India counseling before each round but only once in case of state Counseling process

Plan Out

1- Fill as many preferences as you can for 1st round of All India Counselling, priority wise from top college & to lower one, if you  get your desired PG seat take admission & relax if not allotted desire pg seats wait for 2nd Round of All India counselling

2-1st Round State Counselling -if you get a seat via state Counseling of First Round & if you already have seat on-hand through All India Counselling then resign from your all India seat & confirm state seat. You will have a better chance of upgradation in state counseling process

If you fail in securing a seat in the first round of state Counseling.

3-2nd Round All India Counselling-For 2nd Round of All India counselling change your preferences fill up preferences of your choice of branches & colleges whose you most likely want, if you get the seat, confirm it & relax your admission process is over…

remember please not to put those branch & colleges which you are not interested in,if you will back out from your allotted PG seat then your security deposit will be forfeited.

4-If not allotted in 2nd round of All India Counselling, you will have more chance in state 2nd round or Mop-up round & also you can participate for Deemed & DNB institutions/Colleges of mop-up round in All India Counselling, so don’t lose your hope.
