Infrastructure

The JSS Medical College spread over an area 43 acres of land with beautiful Infrastructure. The hospital building was built within the area of 1,35,840 sq.m with the Outpatients Department and The Hostel & Residential complex was spread over 45,262 sq.m of land.

Library

The university has an exclusive library with 40,797 collections covering all departments. Library resources include a good collection of recommended reference books, textbooks, recommended books, reference works such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, textbooks, catalogs, data books, volumes of journals, WHO technical reports, project reports etc.

In addition the library subscribes to 267 national journals and international, and has a fairly good collection of supplementary volumes for reference and research papers, project reports, and dissertations.

The library Located in an easily accessible place which covers 3206 sq m with 638 seating capacity and is computerized and automated using user-friendly software called “Easylib ”, as well as computerized online access to catalog information, databases and information from magazines.

Hostel

JSS Medical College has separate hostels for boys and girls within the campus. It has well-equipped rooms with all modern amenities, hygienic kitchen, comfortable, nutritious meals and a portable source of drinking water.

Each hostel block has a separate pantry and laundry room. Around the clock security guards for men and women with appropriate hostels and CCTV cameras are placed for continuous monitoring and vigilance for student safety.

We have separate hostel facilities for post-graduate students and residents off campus, with good accommodation and catering facilities. Solar emergency power source is used for heating and cooking in the hostel. The campus has a bank and ATM kiosk, as well as a post office and health clinic. Leisure facilities such as reading and TV lounges are also available.

JSS Medical College is located in Mysore city of Karnataka, India and is also known as Mysore, which is located 145.2 km southwest of Bangalore on the foothills of the Chamundi Hills.

The city is the second largest city in the state of Karnataka and is known for its heritage structures and palaces. Mysore is well connected by road, rail and air network and the medical college which is just 7.5 km away from the city.

Mysuru Railway Station is the nearest railway junction, 5 km from the college, which takes about 15 minutes to travel. Mysore has a domestic airport and is about 16 km from the college and takes a 30 minute drive.

The nearest international airport is Kannur International Airport, Kannur, which is about 175 kilometers from the college and takes about 3 hours of travel.
