B.N.Y.S.: What is it About?

BNYS - Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yoga Science is an undergraduate course in the area of holistic health care. The candidate has to undergo one-year compulsory internship program in the institution itself, after completion of the course. Naturopathy is the branch of science that is centered on the body’s own healing ability. It is essentially about body’s self-cleaning and repair without the use of allopathic medicines, body's immune, hormonal, nervous, and excretory systems, the body’s adjustment and alignment with these systems and naturally healing diseases pertaining to these systems in the body.

Licensed Naturopathic Physicians typically work at clinics with patients, analyze symptoms, problems, and medical statuses, personalize treatment protocols for every patient, study the patient's lifestyle habits, scan patients’ ailments/allergies to find clues responsible for the current state. The course study helps the candidate to understand diverse concepts in naturopathic treatment and Yoga science. The course study helps the candidate to have clear understanding on the principles and practices in modern Yoga Therapy.

The course study exposes students to get involved in drugless therapies like breathing exercises, meditation, Yoga postures, and so on. Upon completion of the course, the candidate can gain practical skills to offer yoga treatment for curing acute diseases. BNYS Eligibility

The candidate must be a Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), & Persons with Indian Origin (PIO)

The Candidate has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year Undergraduate Medical Courses .

The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination with relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL category and PwD Candidates.

The  candidate  must be medically fit and  must submit a certificate of medical fitness at the time of Admission.

The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination  i.e. Higher  Secondary Certificate  (HSC/12th Standard) or equivalent examination, with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology  (Botany & Zoology)

A candidate belonging to OPEN Category  and EWS Category must have obtained  not less than 50%  (i.e. 150 out of 300) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) Examination.  

A candidate belonging  to constitutional  reservation  except EWS Category and  constitutional  reservation with Person  With Disability claim must have obtained  not less than 40% (i.e.  120 out of 300) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology  taken together at the HSC (or equivalent)  Examination. Person with disability  candidate in General category must  secure not less than  45% marks (i.e. 135  out of 300) in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB)  taken together at the HSC  (or  equivalent) Examination or decided by  respective Central Council.


NEET Eligibility for Admission to BNYS.


A candidate belonging to OPEN Category  & EWS Category must secure not less  than 50 percentile marks in Physics,  Chemistry  & Biology  (PCB) taken  together in the NEET UG Exam

A candidate belonging to constitutional reservation except EWS Category and  constitutional reservation with Person  with disability claim must secure not  lessthan 40 percentile marks in Physics,  Chemistry & Biology (PCB) taken together  in the NEET UG Exam

Person with disability candidate in  General  category must secure not less  than 45 percentile marks in Physics,  Chemistry & Biology (PCB)  taken together  in  the NEET  UG exam or decided  by  respectivecentral  council  time to  
time.
