MBBS BDS Admission - State Quota Eligibility Criteria


The general rule of MBBS & BDS Admission is that 15% of total intake Government colleges MBBS & BDS seats, 100% All India Deemed Medical & Dental Colleges MBBS & BDS seats & 100% Central university colleges MBBS & BDS seats are filled from All India Counselling.

These seats are available to all the NEET qualified candidates. Any state candidate can take admission anywhere in India for the above mentioned seats through All India Couselling.

This process is conducted by the medical counselling committee https://mcc.nic.in . Remaining 85% of Government Medical & dental (MBBS & BDS) & 100% of private Medical & Dental colleges seats are filled through respective state & these seats are available to respective state candidates who are domicile or studying in that particular state.

Below are State quota eligibility criteria for MBBS & BDS Admission

1.Andhra Pradesh
Candidate should have Resided in the state for seven consecutive year and completed class 12th from the state.

2. Assam
Either of the parents should have lived for not less than 20 years in the state and candidate should have done his classes 7th to 12th in Assam.

3. Delhi
Candidate should have completed Classes 12th from Delhi or holds Domicile certificate.

4. Gujarat
Candidate must have been born in Gujarat and have cleared class 10th and 12th from the state.Candidate born outside Gujarat should have complete class 10th and 12th from the state and should have living in Gujarat for 10 consecutive years.

5. Karnataka
Candidate should have resided in the state for seven consecutive years and completed class 12th from the state.

6. Maharashtra
Candidate should be a domicile of the state and should have completed class 10th and 12th from the state.

7. Punjab
Candidate who is domicile of the state and has completed 12th from the state.
Words of parents who have been living in Punjab for minimum 5 years.

8. Rajasthan
Candidate should be domicile of the state and should have completed class 10th and 12th from the state. for a candidate who has studied outside state, either of the parents should have lived in the state for a minimum of 10 year also the candidate must have studied in the state for at least 5 years.

9. Tamil Nadu
Candidate with domicile and has completed his 10th and 12th from the state.candidate who has completed his class 8th to 12th outside
Tamil nadu, his parents should have resided continuously for 5 year in the state.

10. Telangana
Candidate should have resided in the state for seven consecutive years and completed class 12th from the state.

11. Uttar Pradesh
Candidate who is domicile of Uttar Pradesh and has completed class 12th from the state. candidate who has completed 10th or 12th or both from outside the state needs to produce Uttar Pradesh domicile certificate.
