NEET PG - Maharashtra State Post Graduation Counselling Process  


It’s a bit of confusing task for NEET PG Candidates to get familiar with the Counselling process even after qualifying NEET PG Exam ,specially for Maharashtra State Candidates.Therefore to simplify the Maharashtra State Post MBBS PG Courses Counselling Process I am writing this Article.

There are mainly Two types of Counselling/admission process For Post Graduation Courses after MBBS All India Counselling & State Counselling 

All India Counselling - 50% of total intake Government Colleges PG seats, 100% All Deemed Colleges PG seats & 100% Central university colleges PG seats are filled from All India Counselling & Remaining 50% of Government Colleges PG seats, 100% Private Colleges PG seats (including-minority Colleges) are filled from State counselling 

Maharashtra State PG Admission process Step by Step : Commissionerate State CET CELL Maharashtra website- https://www.mahacet.org conducts online common counseling for admission to all the MD / MS / & Diploma courses on merit based on the Rank obtained by aspirants in the NEET PG Exam 

1- Admission process will Start from the registration process itself ,candidates will have to fill & upload all required details & documents such as Copy of downloaded NEET-PG Admit Card , NEET-PG Mark sheet ,MBBS degree/Passing certificate,Internship completion certificate, Permanent / Provisional Registration certificate etc on  https://www.mahacet.org website ,after submitting the Online Application Form, candidates will have to pay registration fees online for participation in the state counseling process. 

2- After knowing all the details Cet cell will declare a serial number list of all the participants registered Candidates .

3-After declaring state Merit list of all eligible participants , candidates have to fill preference of choice PG branches & colleges online on mahacet portal ,candidates can fill as many preferences as they want.

Note: Candidates have only one-time opportunity to fill preferences form online. Your same preferences will be used For second or subsequent round Including Mop Up round no separate online preferences will be allowed to be filled by the candidate.The choices of PG branches and colleges, once entered online, shall be final and irrevocable. This final data shall be used in entire selection process for the admission current academic year

4-As per candidates preferences Cet Cell declare first selection List, if candidate name is there in 1st selection list candidate will have to secure his/her admission by paying the required Fees and other formality at the allotted college, if candidates fail to secure admission then such candidates will disqualify for the further round of admission process.

5-There are Two Rounds of online selection PG courses After that there will be Two Mop-up Rounds, both are online for government colleges & one Mop-up round for private colleges.

6-After 1st Mop-up round if the seat will remain vacant in private colleges then it is surrendered to respective private colleges.

7-Those candidates who are interested to participate in private colleges PG seats can apply to respective private colleges directly for admission, private colleges will be given only 3 or 4 days of time for filling up their vacant seats.

8-Candidates can resign before mop up round without penalty, cet cell will give one deadline for that.candidates leaving their seat within the given time period, only 1500 will be deducted from candidates fees.
